Saumiya Balasubramaniam

Was born in India and resides in Canada. Her picture books for young readers are set in North America and India. They  speak to children across  the world. She dreams of a world where children see themselves reflected in the literature of their times. She envisions our bookshelves to be as diverse as our classrooms.
